Wayne Hills Youth shares in the vision and mission of Wayne Hills Baptist Church as an extension of the local church and the Christian family. We partner with parents to equip them as they disciple their students to know the Lord and love others. Our goal is to be an extension of the discipleship happening at home, by teaching teens the truth of Scripture and answering the hard questions. We have youth Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 9:30am and youth group Sunday nights at 5:30pm, as well as seasonal Bible studies for girls and guys. Throughout the year, we also have fun events for the students to bond with one another, including summer camp, winter retreat, and seasonal parties and activities!
Our Meeting Times
Sunday School
Sundays 9:30-10:30am
On Sunday mornings, we hang out, play a trivia-style game, and then have a lesson taught from God's Word. Currently, we are following the Gospel Project curriculum, studying through the Bible in three years.
Youth Group
Sundays 5:30-7:15pm
Sunday evenings we come together for a large-group gathering where we have snacks and games, worship, a Bible lesson, and small groups.
Girls & Guys Bible Studies
Wednesdays 3:30-4:30pm
Seasonally, on Wednesday afternoons, we have separate guys and girls Bible studies at the church, where we will discuss what they've learned doing the daily readings throughout the week.
A normal Sunday Evening looks like...
Free time & snacks - while students are arriving, we have snacks out and the students have time to hang out and play games like four-square or volleyball.
Group game - we transition to a group game to help foster community among the students.
Worship and Bible lesson - then, our youth worship team leads us in a few worship songs, followed by a lesson taught from the Bible.
Small groups - we end with an opportunity to reflect on the lesson in gender-specific groups and further discuss and apply the truths learned.
We have youth most Sunday nights, but to get the quarterly schedule and be added to our parent email list, please email Pastor Caleb at caleb@whbc.net.
