Partnering with parents in discipleship
Our goal with Children's Ministry is to partner with parents to disciple the next generation. Through gospel-centered lessons, our hope is what happens on Sunday sparks meaningful conversation at home—complementing discipleship within families.
We use Lifeway's Explore the Bible curriculum across our Children's Ministries to provide an age appropriate understanding of the gospel and Scripture. If you would like to learn more about the curriculum we use, click here.

Babies & Toddlers
Ages 0-2
We provide a safe, happy environment where little ones learn about Jesus through activities, music, and stories. Every week, we’ll send you home with a resource to keep the conversation going!

Preschool
Ages 3-4
Our preschoolers discover Jesus through a mix of worship, games, crafts, and interactive lessons. We provide weekly take-home worksheets to help your family bridge the gap between Sunday morning and discipleship at home.

Elementary
K-5th Grade
Our K–5 team dives deep into Scripture through videos, music, and memory verses. During our worship hour, kids join the church family in the Auditorium before returning for gospel-centered lessons, games, crafts, and a "missions moment."
Full Family Sundays
Because our mission for Children's Ministry is through integrated discipleship centered around families, the first Sunday of every month is a Full Family Sunday where the Elementary kids join their families in the auditorium for our 10:45am service. On these Sundays, we provide activity bags in the lobby to help kids stay engaged in the service.
FAQs
Where do I take my kids when I arrive?
Each child will need to be registered prior to attending our Children's Ministry. Down the hallway to left of the foyer is the check in desk where you can register/check in your child. If you would like to preregister your child to save time, fill out our Connect Card here.
What about safety?
We are dedicated to providing a safe environment for children to learn about Jesus. All our volunteers undergo a thorough background check and safety training. We also use a secure check-in/out system where only a parent with the matching security tag can pick up their child. If you have more questions about our policy, email Melissa at melissa@whbc.net.
What should I bring for my baby/toddler?
Please bring a diaper bag labeled with your child's name, including:
- Diapers and wipes.
- A change of clothes.
- A bottle or sippy cup.
- Any specific instructions for our team.
How can I get involved in serving in Children's Ministry?
We are always looking for volunteers! You can email Melissa at melissa@whbc.net to learn more about serving in Children's Ministry.
