Join us for worship on Sundays at 10:45am!

Wayne Hills Deaf Fellowship is an autonomous Deaf church that meets at Wayne Hills Baptist Church on Sundays at 10:45am for worship and teaching from the Bible. We would love to have you join our community! We meet in the Fellowship Hall of Wayne Hills, which you can get to directly from the side of the building that faces the road coming into the church. If you have children, they are welcome to join the children's ministry of Wayne Hills during our worship service. For more info on that, click here. We also partner with the hearing church for various events and services throughout the year, as well as hold many of our own special events.

OUR VISION & MISSION

OUR VISION: Wayne Hills Deaf Fellowship focuses on empowering the Deaf community in the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding communities by creating a fully accessible gospel in our heart language ASL, where the Deaf community can experience the Gospel message deeply through American Sign Language.

OUR MISSION: To actively promote and fulfill Bible passages by working together to reach the communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

OUR TEAM

PASTOR THOMAS COOK

Pastor Thomas is the Deaf Pastor at Wayne Hills Deaf Fellowship. He has been with us since 2023. He has a big heart for the Deaf community in the Valley to have a chance to hear and respond to the gospel in their own language.

SUE BROWNING

Sue Browning is our Deaf Ministry Facilitator, helping to plan services and special events, both within the Deaf Fellowship and ones that we do with the hearing church.

OUR HISTORY

The Deaf ministry has been a part of Wayne Hills for over 40 years. Services had been interpreted to Deaf members until 2012.  That changed when the SBCV supported a Deaf pastor to come to Waynesboro twice a month for services on Saturday nights.  At that time, Pastor John Wyble began a ministry at Wayne Hills that changed the 40 year history. We are now blessed to have Pastor Thomas lead our fellowship on Sunday mornings!
