WHEN WE GATHER

Hi there! We're so glad you're here!

We know that visiting a new church is not always easy, and that’s why we created this page. We want to help make your first experience at Wayne Hills Baptist Church a great one!

WHEN WE GATHER

Every Sunday morning at 10:45am, we get the opportunity to be encouraged through biblical preaching, worship, and friendship during our worship service. Throughout the week, we gather in small groups of believers to be in community with one another and study the Bible together.

More Details

When should I arrive?

We suggest arriving at least 5-10 minutes before service so you are able to stop by the new guest table on your way in to fill out a connect card and receive a free gift. If you have kids, plan to come 10-15 minutes before service so we can get them registered in our system and situated in their classes. Kids are also welcome to join you in the main worship service if you'd like!

Where should I go?

Once you're parked, come inside the main entrance under the big overhang. Inside, you'll find a new guest table as soon as you walk in.  Volunteers, who can be identified with lanyard name tags, will greet you with a free gift if you want to fill out a connect card, show you around, help you find kid's check-in, and answer any questions you may have before going into the service.

What should I wear?

Most or our members dress pretty casual, while others wear a suit and tie, so feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

What do you teach?

Every sermon is taught with the goal of helping attenders grow in their knowledge and love for God and his Word and to clearly present the good news of Jesus dying for us. Sermons are typically expositional in nature, meaning we study a specific passage from the Bible each week.  To read more about us and what we believe, go to our about page.

What if I have kids?

When you come to the kids check-in desk, you will be greeted warmly and asked some questions to get your kids into our check-in system. If you fill out this form ahead of time, it will speed up the process. Just let them know you pre-registered online. Once they're registered, you'll be given a sticker name tag for your kid and a pick-up tag with a corresponding number, so only you can check your child out with the sticker.

We have three age groups the kids are split into – ages 0-2 | ages 3-4 | K-5th grade. A volunteer can walk you to the appropriate classrooms to drop off your children. You will also pick them up from those classrooms after the service. Each classroom is staffed by trained and background-checked volunteers who love kids and Jesus. Each age is learning developmentally-appropriate lessons from the Bible, using the Explore the Bible curriculum by Lifeway. Every Sunday, your kid will learn gospel principles through worship, games, crafts, a lesson, and activities. Kids are given a take home worksheet to help parents incorporate the scripture they have learned into discipleship in the home.

One thing to note – we highly value intergenerational discipleship, so the first Sunday of each month, kids who are in Kindergarten and up join their families for the worship service. On these "Full Family Sundays," we have bags with kids activities available in the lobby to help them stay engaged.

If you have 6-12th grade students, our youth ministry meets Sunday mornings at 9:30am and Sunday nights from 5:30-7:15pm. The teenagers join their families in the worship service at 10:45am every Sunday!

How do I get connected?

If you want to get connected in Wayne Hills Baptist Church, you can fill out a digital connect card before you even step foot in the door. If you want to fill it out in person, you can do so at the new guest table in the lobby or find one in the chair back in front of you while in the service to turn in after it's over. When you fill out a connect card and stop by the new guest table, you'll get a free gift and you'll be reached out to by one of the pastors the following week to help you get plugged in if Wayne Hills is somewhere you'd like to stay!
